03.01.10On TV twice in the first week of 2010!
If you were watching the traditionally excellent New Years Eve television in Scotland, chances are that you saw us, I Am Darkwater, performing at the BBC during a special rendition of Auld Lang Syne. We feature alongside stars from tv, music and various C-lists. Blink and you'll miss us, but at least we are by far the best dressed.
02.01.10On TV...
Check out the Zone Horror channel, Virgin Channel 149, something else on Sky, tonight, Saturday 2nd 2010 at 9pm, thats 2100. 'The Cook' is an awesome american teen slasher movie made in 2008 and it features an original track by I Am Darkwater called 'Easy Weakness'. The song plays during a particularly apt scene in the movie, about half way thru.
It's also an amazing film featuring some truly great actors and actresses, there was a lot of Oscar buzz around when it came out but sadly it just missed out.
"Powerful, moving and intelligent." are three words never associated with this film. Still, it's more entertaining than War of the Worlds on BBC.
Happy New Year!
19.12.09Hello from Lora

23.11.09Thinking...

27.10.09Rehearsals & Recording
We have just added a new photo album containing a load of photos taken at our studio during some rehearsals and recording sessions. It's great to be working in our own studio now, having just a little space makes a lot of difference. We even have a new song in the mixing process and we are pretty excited about it.
Thanks for looking in and go check out the photos, a few more to be added soon.
16.10.09Update
New photos and new video footage due soon! We are currently putting together some footage from our recent rehearsals and studio sessions, which we will post soon. We also have some photos from those sessions that we'll get up asap too.
14.10.09New Myspace Page
Yup thats right folks! A brand new Myspace page. Why? Good question.
Well, we are now officially 'I Am Darkwater', more on that later, so we wanted our website and myspace to properly reflect that. It feels great to have everything new and fresh, new website designs, photos, videos, audio... very cool.
But, you say "it takes ages to build up a myspace following and those numbers are important!". Well your right.
Our previous page had 6837 friends, 73,000ish song plays, almost 87,000 profile views.
Good eh? Well pretty good, but lets be honest, it's numbers on a webpage.
We welcome all our friends to our new site and hope many thousands more will join us here. We have met SO many people through Myspace, at gigs, video shoots, pubs, tours and all-sorts, so it does mean more than numbers. We have had so much support from websites, myspace sites, contacts and people met thru myspace that again, we know it does mean more than numbers.
I truly hope that with all the effort we are putting in to create great music and promote ourselves that our stuff will get to people that really want to hear new music and a new rock band.
So thats the deal! Come and join us for all the new stuff!

There are some nice new photos both on myspace here and on our website. There will be more of them kicking about soon too. Our video for The Ghosts is in the video section of our website.

18.07.09Give Me the F*@kin Money
"Is this f*@ckin' mic on?
Awright. I've been waiting a long time to say this.
This song goes out to all those who made this impossible. If you're in a band you'll know what I'm talking about.
All these wanna-be f*@ckin' promoters charging us to play in their sh*%ty little f*@ckin' venues. All those PR geniuses who think people care more about a bands image than their f*@ckin' music. You can't see a f*@ckin' haircut on a CD you c%#ts!
The magazine's that won't give you a review without paying for a nice big f*@ckin' advert. All those second rate producers f*@ckin' smiling in our faces telling us everything we want to hear, then rubbing their greasy palms together when I handed over every single penny we'd saved.
I had to sell a guitar I f*@ckin' loved to pay for your studio time, you f*@ckin' thief! And don't think I've forgot about you slippery little c%#ts in porsches who wanted us to be more pop. Well f%#k You!
Give me your f*@ckin' Trust.
Give me your f*@ckin' Faith.
Give me your f*@ckin' Life.
I want your f*@ckin' Money!"
